Mary and Katelyn’s surprise proposal was a romantic and heartfelt event. The couple had been together for over 4 years. Graduated nursing school together & were enjoying a much needed adventure & break from their work & routine, so they planned a vacation in Hawaii. Mary contacted me about helping her set up a surprise proposal for her to propose to her girlfriend Katelyn while they were on island. She knew about the breathtaking beauty of Kauai and decided it would be perfect for the special moment to ask the big question.
When Mary and Katelyn arrived at Hanalei Bay, Kauai for their surprise proposal, I was already on location waiting on the beach for them to arrive. The bay sparkled with turquoise waters & the mountains shone emerald green. A floral circle had been set up with colorful flower petals & palm fronds in the sand. This was the spot that Mary knew to bring Katelyn to before she got down on one knee & pulled out the ring.
Mary and Katelyn walked towards the center of the circle where they paused to take it all in—the beauty of nature around them, the love that filled their hearts for each other, and this special moment. As Mary got down on one knee to propose, tears filled both of their eyes. In that moment time seemed to stand still as Katelyn said yes!
Afterwards Mary and Katelyn celebrated with a bottle of bubbles & lots of hugs, kisses & the fresh excitement about their engagement! It was truly such a special evening full of love, laughter, and joyous celebration between these two!
